History of PEM
From our modest beginnings to the PEM Real Estate Group, we have remained committed to our purpose of providing homes and creating neighborhoods for our residents whether it be in one of our apartment communities or a home of their own.
In 1993, CEO Paul Mashni saw an opportunity to deliver a better apartment-living experience to the residents of Detroit, Michigan. That year, PEM Investments was founded when Paul bought a duplex out of foreclosure, renovated it to comply with safety standards and discovered a formula that works: Provide a quality product in a neighborhood environment with effective and resident-oriented management.
Over the next several years as PEM continued to grow, it applied this formula to all of the multifamily communities it managed. By incorporating our Core Values in our day-to-day operations, we ensure that our residents come first. PEM is now one of the fastest growing operators and managers of multifamily and commercial properties in the United States.
To meet the growing needs of our clients, PEM expanded its suite of services into commercial and residential lending and residential brokerage. This expansion has allowed PEM to develop lasting relationships with many of its clients to meet all of their current and future real estate needs.
